vuka
I am a UK citizen and have a friend (aged 30) in Zimbabwe. She has applied for a UK workingholidaymaker visa, refused at first but an appeal is pending. In the meantime she is planning to work for a few months in South Africa. On a future visit to Thailand I'd like her to accompany me, although we'd obviously arrive and leave on separate flights. The application form itself does not seem to present a problem, but what other obstacles may be created by the officer in Pretoria? And would a personal application be expected? My experience of email enquiries is not normally successful, but I can try that afterwards direct to the SA embassy if no knowledge of the situation is available. There was some discussion raised by a Zambian in Texas last year, which was not conclusive.

She needs to carry a Yellow fever certificate with her on entry to Thailand.
