Believe at "Otto's" (Bei Otto, Sukhumvit Soi 20), or "Ratsstube"

(Goethe Institute, 18/1 Soi Goethe), you get german food as "authentic" as it can be out here..

there are others:

"Warsteiner Stuben"

128/46 Sukhumvit House, Soi 23

"Old German Beerhouse"

Grand President Hotel

"Heidelberg Restaurant"

Sukhumvit Soi 4

I'll second that on Bei Otto. However, I thought it was Soi 22? It's been a few years.

Didn't check on this one, but it's a well established business, so cab drivers may know, or the concierge in the hotel - if there is one...

Bei Otto is indeed in Soi 20. Way overpriced IMO, only worth for the still excellent pork knuckle and the black forest platter.

Otto lost a lot of customrs to The Deutsches Bierhouse in Soi 11...food is very good, prices are much better.

Warsteiner Stuben are long closed, the owner runs now Grottino Restaurant in Soi 19, in that little Soi at the Family Mart. This is also an excellent boutique hotel and the bread they serve for breakfast is just great!

The Heidelberg in Soi 4 is not worth a mention!

i have to disagree with the previous poster - we had really an authentic meal a couple of times at heidelberg :o

but i´m still looking for the best "weisswuerste" in town :D

Well, "Weisswurst" has to be really fresh! Maybe that proves to be the problem....

And some postings have to be taken with a "pinch of salt", it's not always just an opinion! :o
