Torque Converter

Featured Replies

hey all,

need some help here, i have been trying to find a garage who can modify, or have performance range of torque converters for the 4m41 (triton 3.2gls), i am looking for them to either modify the existing ones or purchase performance torque converters.....

some times i regreat choosing an A/T :o

anyways i havent found any info yet, nor places, and would appreaite some help.

A few years ago it was possible on non-sealed converters to change the springs, diaphargm plate, and add slighty oversized lock-up rollers, just to give a more positve drive effect.

Nowadays, all converters are sealed for that specific vehicle and trans, and the electronics will sense whether its loaded or not,try putting half a ton in the back and see if it pulls better through the gears, even when you floor it!
