This has probably been disclosed somewhere in the forums but I have a question for all you experts.

My wife and I are from England (both English) and entered Thailand in January on a six month multiple-entry visa we obtained from Hull. We have been workking towards setting up our own business and obtaining a business non-B Visa for myself and a non-O visa for my wife. We have had to do the visa runs in the last 6 months to activate our entries etc.

I have nw obtained my non-B visa from Singapore but my wife's visa is now up. What are her options? What is the best way to renew her Visa. It doesn't matter if it's tourist or non-O.

I suspect you do not qualify for one year extension of stay (that would open visa route for wife as dependent). So her only local option seems to be a tourist visa. Currently Vientiane will issue 2 entry type valid for 3 months so you can get almost six months with extensions.

I am rather surprised you did not obtain one year multi entry non immigrant O visa from Hull before you departed as that would have provided a longer window.

We would have obtained a year but we did not know it was an option at the time. We were told she now has to go back to the U.K. to renew her Visa, are you saying this is not the case???

You can extend your non-immigrant visa for 1 year at an immigration office. When you have an extension of stay for 1 year, your wife can apply for a non-immigrant visa as well, based in the fact that she is a depended of you.

Your wife doesn't have to go back to her country. She can get a tourist visa from an embassy in a neighbouring country.
