Where exactly did you see them?

The new Acer catalogue had the two Acer panels listed at 14,900 and 15,900. I asked around in Chiang mai and got offered the HP panel ("same-same") at Chi Chang in Pantip Chiang Mai. So they are around. The Acers were not available at the time I checked (last week) but I couldn't really figure out why. IT city just didn't have them yet and they didn't have a date when they'd get them either. If I had to take a guess I would say they'll come pretty soon.

I then ordered an Acer from shop4thai, they have at least the "241" in stock. I ordered the 243 but got the 241, not sure what happened, I guess they confused the numbers a bit. IT was only 13,900 so I guess that's the price for the 241. In any case the 241WAID is here now, not yet unboxed, and I think I'll just keep it.

Update: The P241w from Acer is great, gonna keep it. It has a matte screen which I really like.

Thinking back to the HP, the HP has a much better / more adjustable monitor stand. So I guess that's one reason it costs more.
