astral Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 I used to use ntp2.usno.navy.mil to synd the clock on my computer every so often, as the chips on the motherboards are not very accurate. I can no longer access this server, it comes back as ip address not found, probably the proxy server is blocking me. Can anyone recommend an accessible time server? Thanks
Wash Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Just double click the clock in the tray, select Internet Time from the tabs in the options and tell it to syncronize now.
waldwolf Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 A FREEWARE utility to accomplish this is WebTime 2000 by Gregory Braun. "WebTime 2000 is a small utility program that will synchronize your PC's internal clock with one of the several atomic clocks maintained by the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology." The program also allows you to insert/change URL addresses, as needed. More info, a screenshot and download link here:

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I use tick.usno.navy.mil using Dimension 4 v. 5.0. I checked and ntp2.usno.navy.mil times out for me, too, and without a proxy between. Looks like it is something else.
