Decided that I want to buy an Xbox 360 but have a few questions that hopefully I can get some help with, first is that I obviously live in Pattaya so where is the best place to go and buy one and how much to pay, is it cheaper to jump on the bus and head for Bangkok and get one there, are the models on sale now reliable i.e. do they have the Falcon Chip or do you still have to check for codes etc. on the box or risk the dreaded 3 light syndrome, how much do the copy games cost and finally is it worth buying an unchipped model to go on xbox live and then have to pay large amounts for genuine games, sorry for all of the qustions but the only two things that I ever brought to play games on where the ZX Spectrum and the Atari 64 which tells you something about my age if you remember them, though I do ply games on my PC.

I have had a 360 since June 07 never had a problem with it ever and used nearly every day in a non air con room (must of been very lucky). Then I was banned form live (for using Mod/chipped console and using back up games)

I have just ordered a new 360 from Nadzproject.com they have a shop in BK also (I have ordered tons of stuff and no problems with them delivering) It is a Non Mod, batch date June 08 so Falcon chipset. And I have ordered Original COD4 original game 1,500 Baht . I think playing online is a great experience and really missed it hence why I spent 14,900 + 1 FREE GAME on a new one.

Go for a Non Mod if your ok with paying 1,600 Baht for original games.

New games coming November 08 - Gears2, Halo wars, Fable 2, COD5 and lots of other top games that really can only enjoyed online IMHO?

I used to play a modded original xbox and found that I had so many games I rarely completed them, but if you use modded 360's you are much more likely to get banned from live.

I'm playing with an un-modded 360 elite and pay 1500-2000 a game, so my library is much smaller, but I get to play online (which is truly a great experience) and tend to complete more of the games I buy.

Plus you get a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing that the developers get rewarded for spending so much time, effort, skill and money on creating these great games.

360 is also great for streaming movies from your PC.
