I was talking with a Thai friend the other day and they mentioned an upcoming Bank expo in Bangkok.

It was mentioned the banks were trying to raise funds to stimulate the economy. They’d been told this by a bank. (Krung Thai bank manager)

The banks are supposed to be offering what appear to be term deposits giving 6% interest but only at the expo.

Does anyone have information?
