sjaak327
It's is running already (at least that's what I have been told). Of course it's only a few KM into Laos, the line would extended into Vientiane in the near future. Aside from that, the train takes a long time (from Bangkok), much quicker to take the bus to Nong Khai.

Methinks they haven't decided how to process the passengers yet. Anyway, for the5Km,it will be only worth if one stay on the train all the way from/to Bangkok! "Anyway, for the5Km,it will be only worth if one stay on the train all the way from/to Bangkok!" for you maybe, i dont want to be stuck on a train for 12 hours, the short journey will do fine, or maybe from udon if it goes through there? if it is open, i would have thought someone lives that area! thanks all chris
