Where Do I Buy Toyota Parts In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! This is my first post as after searching this forum I couldn't find what I needed. I've been living in Bangkok for two years and I'm running a Toyota Vios. I can't really complain about the level of service at the Toyota garage I use but I just feel that for what they charge, their work isn't anything to write home about. Ideally I'd like to be changing my own oil, oil filter, air filter etc like I did back home mostly because I enjoy doing it. Not everyone's idea of a fun time, I know. Can anyone tell me where I buy these parts from? Is there a car centre or supplier anyone knows about?

Thanks

Welcome to the Motor Forum :o

Well, first, you can consider buying from Toyota the parts you need and doing the service yourself. I'm sure Toyota lets you buy parts, right?

Otherwise maybe places like B-Quick? Surely they must stock the needed parts for a Vios, as they are everywhere (the Viosi(plural) that is) :D

I've never had experience with Cockpit, but I think many members have beef or two with that outfit.

Hope this helps.

Try Worachak area, there are plenty of spart parts shops, any brand.

You can buy oil and other liquids at just about any gas station, genuine Toyota spare parts are a bit difficult to find if you don't want to buy them at service centers. If it's an odd light bulb than and it's not a big deal, Worachak will do just fine.

Do you need help with directions there?

Okay, thanks for the replies. I actually don't know where 'Worachak' is, but I'll be having a look in B-Quick and of course if I have to go to Toyota for parts, I may as well let them do the job properly.

Just to clarify, you are not really looking for parts per se, but service items...oil, oil filter, air filter, etc...

Correct?

I don't think you need to spend a few hours for going to Worachack to find oil and filters and some lightbulbs. Service parts for Vios you can find everywhere. If you need some fancy taillights or some chrome acessory parts, you'll find them at Phatum Wan.

Where exactly in Phatum Wan??

Patum Wan is a big Area, where they sell only car parts. Used or new ones. It look like a very big Junk Yeard. But all is organized. Some shops sell only engines and gearboxes, some Shops sell wheels, some acessories, etc. I can't tell you the exactly name of any shop. You drive in to this area, park your vehicle somewhere and walk arround. You'll find so many different shop, they sell everything, from engine parts to accessorieparts. There are also Acessory and Parts Shop for newer cars only. Another street is Woratchack near Chinatown. There are only Sparepart Shops

On google map Pathum Wan, is located between Central World and Paragon on Rama I road.

Is this correct?

Thanks for the suggestions in these replies, guys. Very helpful, indeed.

Having only ever gone to Toyota before, I ended up going to B-quick for the air-con motor and filter I needed, but found the Pro-Serv chain of garages (Shell stations) to be the cheapest for service parts - I got an oil/oil filter/air filter change for 1300baht - far less than the B-Quick or Toyota. Pro-serv had exactly what I was looking for - generic 'made in Thailand' parts. Finally, I let Toyota do the engine mounts after giving up looking.

Proserv apparently change auto transmission fluid and filters. Just wondering. would anyone trust a non-dealership garage to carry out transmission work?

Cheers

Hi there,

where would you replace your air-condition. At Toyota, they have just told me that Toyota would charge around THB 17.000 for an original("Doo air").

I have no clue what that really is and what the street price would be.

I have been advised by a neighbour that buying that part outside for around 3.000THB and have Toyota just put it in.

Does anyone have an idea? Or could give me some advise please?

Many thanks,

Ralf
