I predict Fedor Emelianenko will be one of the most popular athletes in the not too distant future.. For MMA fans, of course you know who he is and how amazing it is to watch him fight. I feel compelled to say something about him after his recent obliteration of the American heavyweight "champ", Tim Silvia.

Even if you are not a fan of mixed martial arts, you would find this unassuminig and humble guy, fascinating to watch. As my favorite fighter period, he's a true icon and rolemodel. Fedor first gained popularity in Japan after clearing out all his competition, then recently, fought in the US, finishing a fight in under 40 seconds! He riminds me of Roger Federer with his poise, dominance, and being so humble.

sorry I just don't get the whole MMA thing myself, would much rather watch two highly skilled stand up fighters going at it, Boxing, Muaythai or k-1
