monty
Have just been to TukCom Pattaya, and prices on these small machines seem to drop fast. I think best value basic model is the AcerOne, 512 Mb, 8GB SSD and Linux installed. Costs 10,600 Baht VAT included... I paid more for EEEPC 701 a few months ago They have 6 cell extended life batteries, 3,600 Baht. One step up was the WinXP model with 1Gb ram and 40Gb hard drive (not SSD!). costs 14,900 Baht... phazey
I'm pretty certain i'll pick up a Eee1000 Monday. I'll be putting OSX on it now the wireless is working (my mac is duff right now), so need a stopgap. From what i've seen on the web it seems quite nippy. I've only seen a 1GB RAM, 120GB HD version for 19.100 ...
withnail
I'm probably going to buy one over the next few days (not sure which brand). I liked the Asus 1000h last time I looked but it didn't have Thai characters on the keyboard which I need. So I'm thinking maybe that or the acer.
