I have experienced similar problems to this with some TVs in hotel rooms, when I've tried to connect my iPod via the RCA "audio in" jacks on the back. The problem is that some TV's wont allow the audio through on this means unless there is a matching video signal. If you can connect something (anything) that supplies a signal to the yellow Video jack next to the red and white Audio jacks, you'll get your sound come through, too.

thanks

these are both good responses

there is only one line to choose from via the remote control

its the video option

then i have to press the TV key to get back to watching TV

i even tried channel 3 and channel 4 and the highest and lowest channels

also tried it with both CD and TV volumes very high

i actually tired one audio channel into the video jack

i am able to see the screen dance as it is receiving the signal

but the audio channel still has nothing

i am dumbfonded
