Re Entry Stamp ?

Featured Replies

I have a one year Non.Imm.B visa what expires at August 31.

I applied for a Re Entry stamp as some of my family from Europe come to see me round about August 20/24 including a visit to Mea Sai / Tachilek Burma. After Tachilek we would like to do a week round trip in the very North of Thailand.

If so, I will not be back in time to extent my Non Imm. B visa in Chiang Mai. ( very much time consuming ) Is it possible to get a 30 or even 90 days stamp at Mea Sai border on a Re Entry?

Does any one know ? Thanks.

It is not clear from your post but I think you meant to say that your current extension of stay, not you non-B visa, expires on August 31. If this is the case and if you use your re-entry permit to return to Thailand you will receive an entry stamp giving you permission to stay until August 31, ie your re-entry permit keeps your extension of stay alive. If you do not enter the re-entry permit number on your arrival card you will get a visa-exempt entry good for 30 days and you have to start again applying for a change of visa and extensio of stay.

If on the other hand you have a multiple-entry non-B visa expiring on August 31, ie a visa that requires you make a border run every 90 days, then you will get an entry stamp giving you permission to stay for 90 days if you return from your trip to Burma not later than August 30 and if you enter the visa number on your arrival card.
