Visa Situation

Featured Replies

I need to extend my non-imm o based on marriage. I have found myself in a bit of a situation that I am looking for some clarity on. I have to get a visa for Korea. As such, I dropped off my passport this afternoon expecting to get it back tomorrow. They informed me that tomorrow is a Korean holiday. My current stamp says valid until 19 August. I can pick up my passport on Monday provided there are no delays at 10:30. At this time, I plan to go to immigration. However, the Korean system is a little screwed up for the type of visa I need. On another thread (http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Visa-Options-t205055.html), I was told that I can extend my visa for 60 days for 1900 baht. This is what I intend to do on Monday, the 18th.

My question is that if something goes wrong, can I do a visa run on the 19th and not be on an overstay? I have never put it off until the day stamped in my passport. I have been trying to reach someone at immigration, but it doesn't seem to be going well.

You can leave on the 19th if need be. It is the visa entry date that must be made the day before.

Ok, I just want to make sure I can do a visa run if things don't work out at immigration. I only need about 2 more weeks before I fly out to Korea.
