Anyone know the closest place (from Korat) to go to get out of the country and get a tourist visa? And how long it will take to get said tourist visa (and how much$$$$?)

For anyone living in Wongamat Beach, there's a new open mall being constructed across the street from the Centara Grand Mirage resort. It's supposed to open later this year and will contain restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, etc. With any luck, the grocery store will be good. And the area could use a few more restaurants.
