Performance Auto Shop In Cm?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some quality fuel/oil hose for my microlight. I've been through some of the shops along the Narathiwat bridge road but have only found normal (crap) grade auto hose which is already checking badly. Does anyone know of a "performance" auto or similar shop in CM that might have silicone or aviation grade fuel/oil hose?

Are you running your microlight on Avgas 100 octane? If so you would be one of the very few doing so.

All microlights that I know of are using Mogas and standard auto fuel lines are more than adequate.

I'm running 95 (regular not gasohol) mogas. The auto grade hoses are indeed 'adequate' (and no doubt would be for 100LL as well) but seem to crack quickly on the outside and I would prefer not to have to replace them annually.

Bad timing CH. I was in our aircraft maintenance hangar in Perth last Thursday, I could have gotten some top quality hose for you there. I'll be back there in a few weeks. PM me or come for a few beers at Tuskers on the 30th, if you give me your address I can mail something to you.

Bad timing has frequently been an unfortunate feature of my life. OK you're awesome BB, despite what everyone says about you. PM on the way...

I only ever hear good things CH, but I am rather deaf after all.
