Retirement Extensions Embassy Letters

For those using embassy letters to certify their pensions/income for retirement extensions, did Jomtien immigration formally drop the requirement of about a year ago that these letters needed to be certified by the MFA too?

Has anything else changed paperwork recently? Normally, I take the following:

Application, passport, photos,

Embassy Letter Re Pension

Bank book and letter from bank certifying balance.

Hello...anyone awake out there...is Jomtien still requiring Embassy pension letters to be MFA certified as they were doing a while back?
