Looking For A Thai Language Tutor

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any tutors or classes held in the north east of England? I've tried internet searches to no avail and don't really know where else to ask.

I'm in Peterborough and i cant find nowt either :o

There are several Thai temples in the UK. Maybe if one is local to you it would be worth a visit or contact.

Good luck :o

I lived in the North East before I moved to Thailand, I couldn't find any professional tutors either. I started learning from a book/CD from library, but didn't really get it until I came here & could speak & listen to Thai people.

Its probably best to learn from a book & practise with a Thai person - maybe try advertising in paper or colleges/unis for someone to help you. Its not ideal, as they won't know how to teach you properly, but you could learn the basics. If you're going to move here, I would advise learning to read & write as early as possible - it really helps.

Lots of good websites available too, listed on language forum somewhere.

Thanks for the advice.

I contacted a local thai cafe and the owner actually does classes so I'm going for my first lesson next Saturday so excited... haha
