August 24, 200818 yr I need to get back to Ireland quickly as my father is very sick. Where can I get a ticket? Will I pick something up at the airport? Is there somewhere online?
August 24, 200818 yr most airlines you can book online and get an e ticket, or just go to the airport if you are in a big rush. Good luck.
August 24, 200818 yr Sunday : Airport. You can buy ticket there, not the cheapest but if you have a credit card, you can be in the plane 2 hours after you arrive.
August 24, 200818 yr Garro, Saveflights (www.saveflights.com) is in BKK and has a very good reputation for fast service, issuing e-tickets etc). Best of luck Simon
August 24, 200818 yr If your struggling with getting seats. Just get to europe and take it from there. ie anywhere in europe then work something out much easier there than here to sort out flights to destination.
August 24, 200818 yr Sunday : Airport. You can buy ticket there, not the cheapest but if you have a credit card, you can be in the plane 2 hours after you arrive. Sunday: 99,9% of the Travel agencies are open. God does not decide in this country if you can make money on a Sunday.
August 24, 200818 yr I need to get back to Ireland quickly as my father is very sick. Where can I get a ticket? Will I pick something up at the airport? Is there somewhere online? When this happened last year at 10pm, we called Thai airways direct and explained the situation. They had us on a plane around 12pm or so (I can't remember the exact times...)
August 24, 200818 yr Will I get this at the airport? Are they open all the time? Yes, you can get it at the airport. 1,000bht I think.
August 24, 200818 yr Will I get this at the airport? Are they open all the time? If you're after a re-entry permit, for Retirement type visa, then I think that they are open at any times--I needed one at midnight and although the mainman was actually asleep I was told to fill the from and stick my photo on and return in 20 mins--by which time he'd woken up--re-entry sorted. [ oops--I think you're a teacher so I somehow don't think you are on a retirement visa, duuhh! I think same will apply as these guys are all part of the Immigration gang] All the best.
August 24, 200818 yr Usually for a family emergency, they will get you on a flight ASAP. For a reentry visa be sure and bring a couple of photos.
August 25, 200818 yr Chiangmai Fountain Travel on loi kroh road, across from Downtown Inn got me emergency return ticket when I needed it on 2 separate occassions.

I never thought about the need for a re-entry permit in an emergency. Where is the office at the airport where you do this? Garro... Best wishes to you. Hope everything works out well.
August 25, 200818 yr Right in the middle, past the check-in counters, before and between the immigration checkpoints.
