Tourist Visa

hi,

i'm a german citizen. i know i get a 30 day visa on arrival. but this time i'll stay for 5 and a half weeks in thailand. is it possible to get a tourist visa at the immigration office at the airport for that period, or do i have to apply for a tourist visa at the thai embassy? hope anybody can help me. thanks

You should apply for a tourist visa from Embassy or other Royal Thai Consulate before your travel. Only visa exempt entry of 30 days is available on arrival. The visa-on-arrival is 15 days and not provided to German passport holders. No visa is available at Immigration for your stay.

I believe that if you get a visa on arrival, you'll need to leave the country to apply for a tourist visa.

Get a tourist visa in Germany before you leave for Thailand.

There is then no need to leave Thailand to apply for a new one
