Leaving Job

Featured Replies

If I leave my job wihtout another job to go to. what are my options as far as visas go ? Married to Thai citizen and we have one child born here. Sorry I did do a search but cant seem to find exact info.

Is it possible to arrange something prior to finishing job and handing in work permit? Or do I have to leave the country and get another visa and then come back?

Unless you can obtain one year extension of stay using 40k family income you are likely to need to obtain a non immigrant O visa which provides 90 day stay. You may be able to obtain a multi entry type valid for one year in Kuala Lumpur but most other local Consulates only issue single entry at a time. You will need marriage certificate, copy of wife ID card and home register that she has signed and best to have a bank account book showing something in it.

You can likely obtain a one time 60 day extension of stay to visit wife from Immigration for 1,900 baht.
