Land Of Corruption

There is indeed corruption all around. I am somewhat disappointed though that I'm not getting my share.

Given the option, I'm sure the Farangs on ThaiVisa would wish to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law rather than pay 200 Baht..........cos they are totally against corruption.

I read a lot of negative about our BiB, but are they really that bad ?

I've NEVER been fined or arrested for an offence I didn't commit

I've SOMETIME been fined for an offence that I did commit

I've MANY TIME neither been fined or arrested for an offence that would normally deserves a fine (traffic violation).

Now I would like to hear of the experience of people who have been fined or arrested for an offence they didn't commit. The rules are the following :

- It should be you, not someone you know, or a story you've heard or read.

- If doesn't matter if other people weren't fined or arrested for a similar offence at the same time. As they say in the song, I you do the crime, you do the time.

Now let's hear some horror stories ….

I would almost happen to bet that anyone that has driven any period of time in LOS has been 'waved' over and paid some 'tea' money. I am sure this thread will very soon have pages of everyone telling their lovely story. But hey, let's move on to the good chit, who has actually been arrested and spent time in a Thai jail?

Another couple hours at the Land Office today... reminds me that a good number of folks (farangs with mia/pua farangs in tow included) pay a little extra to get their docs faster. There's so much traffic there that if you don't (especially in any land office that doesn't yet have a queue system).... you're going to be there ALL day.
