I believe and someone else may confirm, that AIS and others do not have an email facility. When I send pictures from my Japanese cell phone to a Thai based phone... I just use the phone number as the email address +668123..... I do not add anything after the number and the pics go through without a problem.

Maybe you can try it like that?

Hope it works for you.

This would be your email address

yournumber@mms.ais.co.th

But you have to call the AIS call centre to activate MMS email. I believe the standing charge is 30 baht per month. Works for One2Call as well as permanent accounts.

If you are using the email address don't use +66

Example: [email protected]

It works like any email. It accepts pictures and text.

Maybe this isn't clear. You can send a picture or text in the normal way from phone to phone (SMS or MMS) just using the international number (with the +66) but you will be charged by the phone company for sending, but if you send to the phone's email address from a computer say from Yahoo or Gmail or whatever, there will of course be no charge.

I started a thread (near this one) about not being able to send or receive picture messages to Thailand. To my Canadian friend; what company do you use? I have Tmobile and am using a Nokia 5300. She jsut bought a high end quad band Nokia..neither of us can send or receive messages to each other but can within our countries.

If a specific company supports this, I'm willing to blow my contract, pay the penalty and switch. I can send sms messages (don't know if it's mms or sms- not sure how to tell).

She uses the DTAC sim card in her phone.
