DISABLED MAN BRUTALLY MURDERED

A one-leg man was hit on the head and brutally beaten up. His head was covered with a plastic bag and wrapped it around his neck. He was dead instantly in his room.

Sattahip-today [1 Sep 08], at 11.00 am, Pol.Lt.Col. Rerngsak Sukcharern, Sattahip investigator was reported by Mr. Rangsan Satpan, [53] who found a dead body in a house no. 143/54-55 Napapan Land house project, moo. 3, Bangsaray, Sattahip. He then reported to his chief.

Sattahip Superintendent, Suppapee Bunkrong and officers, were accompanying with rescue team rushed to the crime scene. The murder took place in a single story townhouse in Sattahip. When the police arrived, they found the front door was shut but unlock, the back door was wide open.

The body of a one-leg man, who was identified as Mr. Chaiya panpong ,[45] was lying, face up on a mattress. His head was covered with two plastic bags, which wrapped around his neck. He was wearing only under pants.

Police inspected the body and the surrounding. They found his head was hit brutally with a hard item. His blood splashed around the area. Police also found a marijuana pipe in his messy room. However, the deceased's body would be sent to the Sattahip Hospital for examination.

After questioning Mr. Rangsan , his closed friend, and also was the person who found the deceased's body, police were told that Mr. Chaiya panpong, the dead person had a few fighting cocks and was crazy about the sport [cock fighting]. Sattahip, the area where he lived, has a reputation for cockfight gambling and Mr. Chaiya panpong was very popular among the gamblers.

Mr. Rangsan gave more details to police, that the dead person had been getting together with teenagers recently. They came to see him in his house and smoke marijuana regularly.

However, this early morning, at around 4.00 am, Mr. Rangsan heard Mr. Chaiya's motorbike [then] running in and out his house several times. He also said he had heard loudly quarrel from the room and seriously some noises of a hard item hitting on the mattress, and finally he heard a sound of motorbike ridden away.

Police suspected of a robbery, according to the information from Mr. Rangsan, the victim was always wearing a big gold chain with many Buddha images hanging on it. His wallet was disappeared and so was his motorbike [Red, Yamaha Meo no. 103 Chonburi].

The police are seriously taking this dreadful case to the top priority. They will search for the criminals and bring them to the justice as soon as possible.

THE ONE-LEG MAN MURDER FOLLOW UP

A witness of a stranger leaving a suspicious motorbike in the middle of Moo Baan Suen housing project, Sukhumvit, 7th kilometers, Sattahip, that the motorbike could be belonged to the murderer of Mr. Chaiya- the one-leg man who was the victim of the brutally murder.

Due to the number of suspects had brutally murdered Mr. Chaiya Panpong, (45), one-legged man, who lived at 124/1, Moo 2, Sattahip, Chonburi, was hit with a hard object on the head and caused the broken skull and died constantly.

The progress of the case, on August 2nd, 2008, at 17.30, Pol.Col. Supathee Boonkrong, was notified by Mr. "A" (Alias), who is living at Baan Suen housing project, Sukhumvit, 7th kilometers, Moo 7, Plu-talueng, Sattahip, Chonburi, that he had seen a red Yamaha Meo motorbike, license No. 161, Rayong, had been left parking in the housing project.

Pol.Col. Suthee Boonkrong, revealed that, the suspects might have friends or have the residence in the housing project.

Due to this dreadful case, police had extremely pressured to the suspects and going around searching for all traces. Hopefully, police would be able to arrest them soon because police were regularly notified of the suspect’s movement.

Pol.Col. Suthee Boonkrong had commanded to investigators, led by Pol.Maj. Wanchai Thumthong, Pol.Lt.Col. Sutham Chao-srithong and police team to spread around to encircle the housing project accordingly.
