Need Bakery For Good Brown Toast In Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Hello there

Anybody can help me to find a real bakery supplying good quality Brown Toast Bread for restaurants. Not the thin cut small Thai toasts from the supermarket, but the real thing.

Any feedback much appreciated.

Thank you!

Continental Bakery in Jomtien after Tepprasit/tappraya intersection roughly opposite Grand Condo Jomtien.

Thanks...Anymore ideas....? Please. They don't have the brown big toast. But the white one looks just fine...

I think that would be anyone's first suggestion as many 'round here seem to agree they are the best at baking.

Soi Chayapong (?) opposite Crazy Dave's. This is off Soi Buakhow near Soi Diana.

The bread is excellent and he delivers.

Otherwise, ask in the 'Pig And Whistle', Soi 7, he used to make his own but I don't know about reselling it.

Sorry Homeless007, I just noticed that you're in Phuket.

I would have sworn I'd read 'Pattaya'.

Another trip to the opticians is called for.

Good Luck,

Owen.

Continental do have a good thick cut brown bread for toasting. They have a white loaf they call toast bread, so they get confused if you talk about brown and toast in the same sentence. Funny on my invoices it is called brown toast. ( บราวดทล แพ็ค )

PM me if you want the phone numbers of the boss lady, she speaks good English, but remember you are asking about brown bread, not toast. :o

Without doubt the best bread in pattaya is at pattini restaurant on soi bakeow, its supplied by an english guy that has a bakery on sukomvit and only supplies commercially, have a breakfast there and ask the owner for his number, and also his sausages wont be beat, superb,. or its on me ! :o .while im at it i must say the bread at foodland is about the worst in pattaya !

The best bread in Pattaya can be bought in Carrefour as you enter from the car/motorbike park at the small stand opposite the newspaper/bookshop on the ground floor.

The bread is displayed on the shelf at the back but doesn't come cheap at 58 baht for what to me is two thirds of a load.

Not sure about brown bread as i only buy the white.

I think for "brown" breads the Germans do it best. There are a couple German bakeries up in Germantown (Naklua) that do wholesale and retail. One is on soi Potison maybe a half-kilo down from Naklua on the left. Maybe also just pop into Best Supermarket at the Dolphin Roundabout as they stock allot of dark breads for the local German polution and jot down names and numbers from the labels.

Yes, a lot of those specialist German brown breads are very good. They sell loaves at Friendship Supermarket as well.
