I have had some experience with Lao people applying for Canadian visas in Bangkok. I think they are discriminated against as The Staff think Laos is a country which most want to leave. None of the Staff speak Lao and know nothing about the country except the usual Thai stereotypes. It is a blot on Canada for these people to come to Bangkok at considerable cost then to usually have their applications rejected. Anyone had experience with this matter?
