September 14, 200817 yr Hi, I am trying to have some documents faxed to Bangkok from abroad. And having issues, could be my end of course. Do I drop the ‘0’? Is it (Intl)+ 66-0-2254-XXXX Or is it (Intl)+ 66-2254-XXXX I know this sounds a bit dumb, but some countries you drop the first zero from abroad.
September 14, 200817 yr Drop the zero. For future reference, if you are calling a mobile phone, don't forget to add the '8' just after the '66'.
September 14, 200817 yr Author Yep, dropping the zero did the trick. Thanks. Thanks for the mobile comment, worked that one out, just have not been in the habit of faxing to landlines. GungaDin What is dumb, is not telling us where you are faxing FROM. GungaDin, I put it as in my question post “Or is it (Intl)+ 66-2254-XXXX” as I was asking about dropping the zero, not how to get out of the country, that’s why I put it as (Intl)+. I do not expect people to know every country. I have been to many countries in the last 8 months with the following codes that I have to enter as prefix to get a phone line abroad, These include, “001”, “011”, “0011”, “00”, “+”, “009”, “11” and “7”. I hope you understand that I disagree with your comment, I would think it dumb to expect you or other very helpful to know the internal system of a network in a 3rd world country that most people have never even heard of. I think it is just GungaDa mis understood my question, thats all. This forum is really good. Edited September 14, 200817 yr by heapsofme

September 14, 200817 yr Simple answer - why didn't you call the International operator? Most of the questions on this forum have simple answers but unfortunately for some people, this is not the case.
