Surin To Cambodia Visa Help

Featured Replies

My tourist visa extension expires on the 5th Oct and I am planning to cross the border at Surin/Asmeck checkpoint (Casino O Samet) and reenter using visa exemption stamp as I have an Australian passport.

What I would like to know is what I need to enter cambodia (visa? etc) and as it is a small checkpoint (well I think anyway) will using visa exemption stamps be a problem to reenter?. I have not used exemption stamps since Dec 07 as I have been using Tourist visas all this year.

Thanks in anticipation

Not been there, but I used a couple of times the bordercrossing ChomChom also known as Kap Cheung(Thailand) /O'Smach(Cambodia).

Never had a problem, prepare THB 1,000.- for the Cambodian Visa and THB 200.- for the entry and Exit Stamp.

They will ask for more, but just give them that amount.

You will also need 1 picture.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I think that is the checkpoint I am using as I will be in Kap Cheung and my girl tells me that "Osmach" is the checkpoint. I just thought there was a casino somewhere there too.

So what you are saying is that I can just roll up with a Passport/Pic and 1000bht for entry into Cambodia. There will be no problem when I insist on only playing a 1000 bht?

You will need the Photo and the 1200. Its a nice quiet boarder crossing. There are two casinos there and if you go down the hill a little there is a small market.

If you don't have the photo, then you can pay an extra 300.

You will have no problems.
