taxexile Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 will be purchasing some land on samui in december , and i would like to know exactly what the transfer fees and taxes will be as a percentage of the purchase price. the land has a chanote title and no buildings on it. are the fees different depending on whether the land is transferred into a company or a private individual. thanks for any help. Hi Tax, Welcome back to Samui???? Transfer fees at the moment are at a minimal rate.From memory since last april I think, for a year ,they are a fraction of what it used to be.Remember the valuation is worked out by the land office & not the actual retail price.The only thing you have to watch out for is the seller's capital gain tax if he owned the land less then 5 years.
