Can A Train Ticket Be Refunded?

Featured Replies

I have a one way ticket to Nong Khai this Saturday night, today is Thursday - I now won't be going... Is it possible to get a refund? They can still re-sell the ticket after all.

Cheers,

SB

Yes you can get a refund at any train station in Thailand providing it is not too close to the time of departure, if it's two days away you'll be fine.

You're welcome.

Nice to see 'shoeboat' is so polite to 'shoeboat' ?

This is the logical conclusion of the TV Forum moderators' desire for there to be no conflict in the forum. Unfortunately, it does mean there is no careful fact- checking, so Shoeboat has inevitably answered Shoeboat's question wrongly...

In fact, refunds are available up to 1 hour before the train journey. :D

I am now keen to watch Shoeboat flame Shoeboat for getting the wrong answer... :o

We got a refund after the train had departed!

Due to the free tickets there was no seating on board so my wife(Thai) had a word with the sales girl and got us all a refund.
