damole
I live in a west facing condo with a window that runs the width of the room. Great until 4pm when the sun starts heating it up like a greenhouse. Anyone know if anything like this is available in CM? http://www.backyardblinds.com/motorized-blinds/ http://www.seesawusa.com/products/76 I saw someone outside HomePro offering regular outside motorized blinds but they seemed quite expensive for what they were although I never really tried to cost the components properly myself. Steve2UK
Not motorised, but Index supply made-to-measure interior roller blinds that can be be up to 100% light/heat reflective. Might be a viable/cheaper alternative to what you're looking for.
SamSipEt
The Olde Bell has a blind at the front of the building that they wind out and in. Might be the sort of thing you are looking for.

I went this way. Quite a few people do the same in my building. Fairly inexpensive and easy to get. The one downside is they don't do well in high winds. I clip mine down and they are fine in a breeze but when it gets gusty then its time to roll them up. Most times when there is a lot of wind then not much sun anyway. Makes a world of difference and really cuts down on the need to use A/C

I'm after quite a few to use inside the house - but only saw them at Index, was put off by the price/available sizes there and only bought a few cheaper plastic ones for my office room so far. Any pointers for where else to look for the wood versions? [apologies to Damole for this deviation in his thread!]
damole
Hi guys Thanks for the input. I rode around CM today taking in HomePro, Index, Global House and just about everywhere else off the superhighway and Hang Dong road. After surfing around for a while I found Oceanline in BKK and so will give them a call tomorrow and find out by just how much I can't afford this kind of solution.
