Namo Amitabha,

In an amulets forum, members are sharing some information about Phra Ngan, according to some members, this interesting and unique form of “Buddha” image can be used to do good and bad, and some people even considered Phra Ngan as a form of demons…

All these seem very interesting to me as I read through, so, I wish to take this opportunity to share my personal findings and point of views with all members here, why Phra Ngan can be used to do good and bad, and why some people can even considered Phra Ngan as a form of demons. If you read my posting carefully you will understand what actually I wish to say and share with all members here…

In this topic of discussion, before I elaborate further, I wish share the following statement from Rev. Master Chin Kung:

If you pray with selfish, desirous mind; you will invoke a respond from demons. Demons, ghost and monsters can also empower you with supernatural ability, causing you to become delirious, giving you some paranormal power that you too can use to enthrall sentient beings. This is an act of transgression. (Rev. Master Chin Kung).

One thought of sincerity will invoke a response from the Buddhas. One thought of selfishness will invoke a response from demons. Hence, when our mind is devoid of selfish desires, we will be able to invoke a response from all Buddhas. (Rev. Master Chin Kung).

After reading all this, I feel readers here will understand why even Phra Ngan as a form of ancient Buddha images, can be used to invoke the response from demons. Because in the modern age, human heart, thoughts and behave more like the beings from the lower realms, our soul fill with 3 poisons, and our mind full of selfishness and unimaginable evil thoughts. You are what in your heart; human heart can create the heaven or hel_l, is all up to individual.

Please don’t feel offended or believed in all the words that I said, I am just a beginner in Buddhism, before a human achieved the level of Arahantship, his or her mind is still fill with certain doses of 3 poisons, that’s greed, hatred and ignorance and cannot be fully trusted, please don’t feel hesitate to share you views in this forum, even you haven’t achieved the level of Arahantship, you do have the abilities to analyze, as all living beings are endowed with the Buddha nature.

This is just my personal findings, views, and questions. I have no intention to criticize any people or gurus in this forum. Thank you very much for your precious time in reading this article, I welcome other members here to share their views, valuable advise and experiences with me or other members in this forum. Please feel free to express your view.

May the blessing of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions be upon all sentient beings!
