Minnehaha Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 My company is a Thai owned LLC and we provide delivery services. We originally formed as a "services" company and so pay 3% withholding tax. We want to change our status to "transportation" company because it more accurately describes our business and it has witholding tax of 1%. Is it possible to change? If so what are the steps required?

We want to change our status to "transportation" company because it more accurately describes our business and it has witholding tax of 1%. Is it possible to change? If so what are the steps required? I have since answered this question myself. It is easy to do and one must simply contact the Dept of Commerce and Dept. of Revenue with the correct forms. Then of course, the company must notify all customers of the new withholding tax rate. Then it is finished. Some lawyers quoted 5000 Baht to do the work.
