September 27, 200817 yr I've tried doing business with Thais, and frankly, their not often reliable. Get a price quote one week, make plans accordingly, then find out a couple weeks later, the originally quoted price has jumped up 15%. If a Thai business person says 'yes' initially, and then decides later to change - is he going to notify you? No. The only way you'll find out about changes in arrangements, is if you get back with him. I just inquired by email about 3 different ads on Craigslist.org for some equipment. I'm planning to visit California next month, and thought to see about buying some specialty things on the trip. Within 5 minutes of sending those three emails - I received responses from each of those three people! Each response was clear and to the point. Could such a business dynamic happen in Thailand? No chance. If you're lucky, one querie out of three will even get a response - and it will be days or weeks later - and probably not clearly addressing the original inquiry.

September 29, 200817 yr Strongly suggest you start working with the mainland Chinese. They will treat you the respect and ethics you apparently think you deserve since you are from SF. TH
