For planning our post-Thailand itinerary, I have the following question regarding my 35 year old Canadian wife:

We have 6 month validity, 3 entry tourist visas. She entered Thailand before me and now she's on the third entry of her visa, but we would like to leave Thailand together around Christmas (as it stands, her visa expires in November). With this type of tourist visa, can she receive a 30 day extension if she attends an immigration office? Should her application be denied, can she receive a 30 or 60-day tourist visa if she makes a border run. We reside in Hat Yai currently, so it would be easy.

Don't care for overstaying, as -- with her luck -- it won't simply be a matter of paying a fine.

She can go to Immigration armed with a photo and 1,900 Baht and get a 30 day extension.
