Suspect Detained Following Knife Attack On Swiss House Owner And His Thai Wife.

On Thursday evening at Banglamung Police Station, Police Colonel Sarayut, the Chief of Banglamung Police held a press conference to announce the arrest of a suspect accused of seriously injuring a Swiss Man and his Thai Wife in a knife attack at their home which took place on 1st October.

Mr. Peter Anton Schnyder aged 61 from Switzerland, who is listed as the General Manager of the Paradise Beach Resort in Koh Samui and his Thai Wife, Khun Bangorn aged 45 were seriously injured and the suspected attacker was a neighbor, Khun Jetsadar aged 26 who was quickly located and arrested. The knife used in the attack was also taken into evidence.

During questioning, the suspect explained that Mr. Schnyder had recently purchased the piece of land occupied by Khun Jetsadar which is owned by his grandmother.

The suspect, who was recently released from Prison following a 2 year sentence for rape, was angry that Mr. Schnyder purchased the land and broke into the house of the victim and attacker him and his wife.

Khun Jetsadar is now facing serious assault charges and will appear in court next week.
