Non Imm O Multi From Laos Or Cambodia

Featured Replies

Sorry of this is answered eleshere, but I find the search function a bit pants.

I am a 38yr old UK citizen and enter thailand on 30 day visa exempt stamp in between trips offshore which as I usually only have 3 weeks off before returning to work has not been a problem before now. This time, i expect I may have 5 or 6 weeks off, so am wondering if I can pop over the border to Laos or Cambodia and apply for a 12 month Non Imm O multi entry visa, so I dont have to do a visa run if I end up with a longer leave again in the next year.

Thanks.

Only succesfull reports for multi-o's have been for those based upon marriage. Those were the KL and Penang (using an agent) consulates.

not with the information you have provided .. but you could go to Vientienne (NOT Cambodia) and get a double entry tourist visa. good for 60 days in country plus an additional 30 if you go to immigration and extend it ... X2

A single entry tourist visa will suffice - 60 days. :o

The OP is only staying 5-6 weeks.

You will only get a multi-entry Non Imm O visa visa back in your home country,

but it would be the best option for your work schedule.

Do not go Phnom Phen, they are really unfriendly.....

Just had a thought...they have a visa on arrival desk at the airport in BKK, can i apply for a 60 day tourist visa on arrival there? I am in Iran just now working and will be flying to BKK from Dubai, so that would be the first chance i have of getting a visa arranged if it is possible. Dont mind spending a couple of hours hanging around the airport if i can get the visa sorted without having to trek to another country.

cheers

Visa on arrival is only issued for those from certain countries. And is only good for 15 days. Would it be possible for you to lay over in Dubai and get visa. Its either that or come in on 30 day exempt and make border run.

You mentioned non-o do you qualify for it. IE: marriage or over 50.

not married, under 50. thought i could get it anyway if i have an income from outside LOS. Friend of mine in same game got one from Hull consulate earlier this year.

Would rather avoid the layover in Dubai. Been away working almost 12 weeks now (the reason for me having a longer leave period this time) and just want to get home asap.

cheers

I know about wanting to get home quick.

Home country honarary consulates such as hull will give one to visit friends and I also have heard of it being given to be used as a home base for somebody with a job like yours. Border run will be a pain but may be only option unless you want to go for a tourist visa someplace.
