Processing Us K1/fiance Visa Abroad

If me and my fiance work in Dubai (she's Thai and we met at school in bkk), can start the K1 process while outside of the US? Or do I need to be living in the country in order to make this happen?

You must file the Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Form I-129F with the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office that serves the area where you last livee in the US, it cannot be filed overseas like the I-130 spousal petition. I don't see a requirment to acutally live the US to file.

Could get complicated since your fiance lives in Dubai. You need to convince them to have the internview there instead of Bangkok.

Thanks alot! Shes a flight attendant so i'm sure she can get the time off whenever that comes along. I was just really worried that I would have to move back home in order to do this.
