Koh Lipe Accommodation Advice

Featured Replies

Thinking about a break down to Koh Lipe next month and just wondering if anyone has any information on the island, particularly about accommodation.

Any comments most welcome.

Also, any good booking methods would be useful for good prices.

Threatened it a few times when down south but never did get over there.

Wikitravel is pretty useful for overviews - that page on Lipe has a few accommodation options down the bottom.

Let us know how it went. :o

Pattaya bay is good, wide sweeping gently shelving beach (picture post card quality) and Surise Beach is good aswell although not as idylic there's an excellent sea scape. Early November i'd maybe just go for it and sort it out when I got there but if you can find an online site to book in for a night then scout around to see what suits best?

feel for quiet night, sleep at Sun Rise Beach.

looking for a hot and fun night, go for Pattaya Beach.

Anyway, you can walk btw those beaches in just about twenty minutes or less.

Please arrive at Pakabara pier b4 11 am. for the first speedboat trip.

the second speedboat leaves at about 1 pm.

speedboat price is 1200 baht roundtrip. same price for every boat company. all standard equipped.

if from Hatyai, prepare 1 hr and a half to get to Pakbara.

minibus from Hat Yai is about 110 baht (one month ago).

some more questions,

i b glad to help.
