October 15, 200817 yr If you enter Thailand on a single entry 60 day tourist visa can you get a re entry permit and leave the country for a week or two and then re enter on that same visa/re entry permit? If you can, will the time outside Thailand count against the 60 days or will it be like you had been in Thailand since you entered the first time?
October 15, 200817 yr The re-entry permit would allow you to stay upon your return for the time that is left on your visa. IE: You have been in the country for 30 days then leave and then re-enter you will still have 30 days left. Note: A tourist visa can also be extended for 30 days. October 15, 200817 yr When you enter Thailand you get a permission to stay stamp, telling you to wich date you can stay in the country. With a re-entry permit you can leave Thailand and come back again and still have your permission old permission to stay. So when you entered Thailand on 1 Ovt. and would be allowed till 1 Dec, with a re-entry permit you can leave Thailand and come back again and still be allowed to stay till 1 Dec, without the need for a new visa.
October 15, 200817 yr A Re Entry permit does not extend your stay it keeps your original permit to stay date alive.
October 15, 200817 yr May I add that when you re-enter Thailand based on a re-entry permit enter the number of your re-entry permit on your arrival card and NOT the original Visa number! opalhort
