10 Places To Move To (for Moaners Of Thai Internet)

Featured Replies

I remember there was someone not too long ago (couldn't find the thread) who asked where you could find the fastest broadband connections.

Today I found an article in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf listing these Top Ten countries (based on Speedtest and conducted by the Universities of Oxford and Oviedo).

If internet speeds in Thailand can't satisfy you, these are fine countries to move to:

10 - Slovenia (!)

9 - Germany

8 - Denmark

7 - Lithuania (!)

6 - Switzerland

5 - Korea

4 - Letland (!)

3 - Netherlands

2 - Sweden

1 - Japan

The US and Russia come in at positions 16 and 17 respectively.

Didn't say .... btw you can always find the current top ten here:

http://speedtest.net/global.php (at the bottom)

Not a true overall result as this data is only generated from the users that have used this website to check the speed of their connection. How many users and from what demographic was majority of the users of that website comprised of? How many users have never used that website and may have blazing Internet speeds?

It's disgusting that the country that's the birthplace of the internet is ranked so low. Average advertised speed of UNDER 9,0 Mb/s?

Don't get me wrong, I love my country. However, it's at times like this when I feel like getting a Louisville slugger and going to town on kneecaps both at Congress and the FCC.
