Car Insurance Outside Thailand.

Featured Replies

Goodmorning all.

I am planning to drive by car from Udon Thani to Singapore but I am told thet my first class car insurance is only for Thailand and not beyond, anybody have any information what insurance is needed and where can I get it I only need it for at most 2 month's.Thank you.

Once you get to Thai/Malaysian border at Sadao/Bukit Kayu Hitam crossing look at your right hand side for Kurnia Insurance booth. They will issue round insurance sticker providing all your car registration documents are translated to English and verified by Commisioner of Oath.

Not sure what is current procedure in Singapore but you still need to have those translated documents in order to get some type of short term insurance cover.
