Hi!

I am gathering the papers/documents I need to apply for a partner visa to Australia for my wife.

Many papers I got in Australia, and there it was easy to get a JP stamp certifying true photocopies.

Some papers I must get in Thailand. I am not in Bangkok so wish to give the complete application and all papers to the official forwarding agency here in the North, to take the application to the Bangkok VISA agency.

No Thais I have spoken to have any idea who in Thailand can certify true copies.

Can anyone help? I live near Chiang Mai.

Thanks

I am sure that the Australian Consulate in Chiang Mai could manage that........ for a fee :o

I have previously used a generic stamp saying "CERTIFIED COPY OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENT" and had who ever translated that document sign it. This was excepted by the Oz embassy in Bangkok for Tourist lVisa, Passport and Citizenship applications.

Called the Honorary consulate to get a copy of my passport certified and he said he can't do it you need to find a lawyer.

Anybody who holds an equivalent position as the same people who can sign them in Oz.

However, People have found that problematic in Thailand previously, Thais dont like signing things they dont understand.

A Lawyer would be fine, have you tried your Amphur office?
