Got this error since yesteday.

Any idea how to resolve the problem?

Thanks Jetset,

Just did a google and found the answer to my problem.

All is OK now.

In the future I'll consult Google first before asking for help from TV.

But I'm still wondering why all other PCs did not experience the same problem (all are on an ADSL modem/router/LAN).

I did not install anything or made any changes to any of our PCs over the past few days.

Whenever I get an error message that I need to know more about, I always Google it. The links above I got by Googling "AVG antivirus ..." followed by the exact error message.

This method nearly always works. :o

Yes you are correct, but many times the experts on TV have a more direct info compared to the many hits in Google which I have to sift through to find the answer. (I'm lazy by nature)

Thanks again for all the help I got and hopefully will get in the future from all the experts on TV.

But Goggle could not find an answer to the above question. It is not realy important. Just asking out of curiosity.

I can only guess that the control file - "CTF file" mentioned in the error message - got corrupted on only one of the machines, so the others carried on as normal.

But I know how you feel - it's nice to get "closure" on every problem. :o
