Thailand-loas-china By Road!

Featured Replies

Hi you all. I look at my maps and see just how close we are (Lampang) to China via Loas. Has any of you Guys done it, know of any one who did it and lived? Interesting, but probably hard the paper work. Be interesting to know of the issues involved.

Thanks

Pip

Never done that. But I believe the more common route is to go to Mae Sai, cross to Keng Tung in Myanmar, than onto to Jing Hong in China.

If you google China Laos crossing, you should get many links. This is just one:

Cheers,

Pikey.

Many thanks guys for your time. Will look at those links.

It certainly does not sound a promising idea. I remember about 5 years back at Nong Ka /Loas it seamed an impossible task to take the car thro to ventaine. So much for the Thailand China super High way. Why oh why is LOS surranded by crap counties

Best regards from cold Europe

By rentacar?

Rental company will not let you take the car out of Thailand.

It has in contract "The vehicle can not be taken out of the Kingdom" and officers at Thai borders know that.
