Site Gone Missing!

Hi,

Can anybody give me some info please. I have been logging in to a photo forum for some time now - http://photography-on-the.net/forum/ but since 2 days ago I have just got the message that it cannot be found on this server. Now I know the Thai police are cracking down on porn sites, but this is a totally legit site mainly for users of Canon gear. Thanks in advance for any help. MonsH

PHOTOGRAPHY-ON-THE.NET SERVER IS OFFLINE

Server security was compromised due to phpbb forum software bug. A person or persons (script kiddies) from Brazil used this bug to get into server and use it to send fake Paypal emails to forum users and a few thousand other people.

I apologize for any inconvinience this may have caused. I took actions as soon as the breach was verified and closed the server down to prevent further damage. The server is now 100% clean and was just booted alive again but it will take some time to get it all back to working order. I cannot give an ETA yet, perhaps 24 hours, maybe more, maybe less. Please be patient - forum will be online soon with new more powerful, more safe and more flexible software. Meanwhile, go out and take some great photos, take your family to dinner (or order couple of lenses)
