Escaped tiger on the loose in Ratchaburi

A male Bengal tiger has been on the loose in Ratchaburi since Thursday, when it escaped from its cage at a wildlife research station after attacking a keeper. The tiger, named Silathong, attacked Bunma Thongkerd, at the Khaoson wildlife research centre as he opened the cage for cleaning. Mr Bunma suffered injuries, but survived. It will approach people when hungry. Unfortunately, I don't think it will last long.

Yes. Agree that it will not last long too.

Hungry villagers will porch that poor tiger for the meat and fur and what other values you can find on that animal! :o

Hello,

I was seeing if anybody has any more info on this. If it has been captured yet or killed.

The reason i ask is that my house is about 3 miles from this place and i have a 2 year daughter running around.

So if any info would be gratefully accepted.

Has the research centre not heard of the use of drugged darts in an instance such as this ? 50 staff chasing it , what do they intend to do , surround it and wrestle it to the ground ?

Well , one thing is for sure , there will be enough of them to manhandle it back to its cage 555

This is a Bengal tiger - does it even have a visa? It's going to be in big trouble if it eats anyone and hasn't got a work permit.

Our only hope is if it tries to ride down Rama IV without a helmet as it is unlikely to have enough cash on it for tea money.

It has probably opened a tailor's shop already.

Plenty of food for it at Government House.

:o

the police would blow off its legs with explosive tear gas grenades before it got too close to there.

and either way, it's on the wrong entity. The first is the government and the second is the Khaoson wildlife research centre.
