cowman1
Hi, I recently bought a samsung phone and just want to connect it to the net (not wifi, just standard through the sim) When I try the browser it will not connect. Do I need to get something unlocked, or can I just do it in the settings on the phone Any idea what I need to put into the settings? It's a Samsung phone. Thanks in advance for any help!! joopjip
Have you requested GPRS service from DTAC? You also need to set up a new connection and you can find instructions on DTAC website or just simply call them I'm using internet through my mobile as well. It's very slow!! sniffdog
Just visit a DTAC center ... they will put in the correct settings and test it for you.
ballbreaker
You need to provide a few more details on what you have done to connect. First question is how have you connected PC to phone. Are you using Bluetooth or USB cable? Have you installed the Samsung Studio 3 software on your PC. Its required to connect PC to phone before you can user browser. You may also need to contact DTAC and make sure they have enabled GPRS/Edge for you to have connectivity.
cowman1
Hi, Well, yes I've connected it to the pc, and I have the Samsung Software installed. I'm using USB cable. I guess It's just a case of getting it switched on by DTAC then, I will go to the DTAC shop. Thanks for the help.
