On four or five occasions now I have gone to type into an online system such as a post to Thaivisa and as I type the characters appear in reverse order, right now is one such time – this part of this post is being typed in MS Word and I’m using Cut and Paste so you can understand the problem, the next part is me typing normally on the TV posting screen. oWhat that said was, it’s difficult for me to understand why this is happening ….., again, all done in Word and C & P. I have AVG installed, Comodo, XP with all updates and I use CAT aircard.

Ideas or clues anyone? The problem will likely go away (again) of it’s own accord but dam_n, it’s frustrating

Its not April 1st yet :o

This not a joke on my part, it is a real problem. Typing into TV currently is now seemingly back to normal and I have spent time since my original post to examine running processes etc in an attempt to understand why this is happening - this is my second mention of this issue although this is my first post dedicated to the subject. Thought initially that the problem was a my PC vs TV issue but now is spread to Yahoo. Have been around PC's since Day1 so not a novice but not an expert either.

The only process I cannot easily identify is BRSSO1A.exe although I think this may be a Brother printer routine, unsure.

Clues, before I reload XP?

check to see if your text encoding has been changed to Left to Right

Intermittently switches of its own accord, improbable at the least but checked regardless, check and pass.

There is a reported problem (not Thaivisa) with FF and Java. Uninstall Java and download the latest and install. Another test is to run FF in safe mode. This is under the Start Menu and your Firefox location menu. > Safe Mode This disables all addons (extensions) in case one of them is the cause. Try the Safe Mode first before the Java.

Obviously the above is academic if you are not running Firefox. :o

Thanks for that, but I am running only Firefox, always have. :o But have been using Java routines a lot lately and a recent update of Java failed, not sure why 'cos was busy! doubt that Java is the key here, suspect something more untoward and unhealthy - paranoid, marginally!

Yes, he may be australian.

Do they still write up-side-down in OZ? :o

Of course the Aussies write upside down. It's difficult to write otherwise when you are upside down.

Why would you doubt that it is the problem since everything Tywais described (the problem is with Firefox + Java, both of which you use)? Unless you think it's more fun to be paranoid of course.
